"It's Okay to Stare"

When my husband and I eat something delicious you can be sure that our Chihuahua doggie Davey will be right there with us. First he gets a strange glare in his eyes. He stares at you all the time without wavering and his whole attention is suddenly dedicated to one person only. It's like he does not move one inch and every activity comes to a sudden halt. He must know from past experience that when he gets into this kind of staring mode one of us will eventually give in and hand him a morsel. Oh how smart and persistent he is!

Honestly, this is such a good picture of how we need to fix our eyes on our Heavenly Father. Our whole attention must be on Him if we desire to receive encouragement, direction, perspective, provision and every good thing because we know that He will not leave us nor forsake us. He is moved by our faith alone and will reward us when we diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

So it's okay to stare when it involves the LORD :-) Turn away from your problems, insecurities, worries and distraction and be persistent enough until you receive the answer from Him. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Now, may you walk in joy and encouragement today!
